Product FAQs

What does this dynamometer measure?

This digital hand dynamometer measures hand grip strength up to 265 lb / 120 kg. It does not determine your age or diagnose a health condition.

How do I use the tester and rings together?

Measure a starting value with the dynamometer, use the rings in your training routine, then retest to compare readings. Follow the supplied instructions for each component.

How should I compare readings?

Record the hand tested, handle setting and result. Keep the testing setup consistent when comparing sessions, and follow the supplied manual.

What does the adjustment knob change?

The knob changes the grip spacing so you can adjust the handle fit. It does not change training resistance.

Which resistance rings are included?

Five separate rings: 20, 30, 40, 50 and 50 lb. The two 50 lb rings are independent rings with the same resistance rating.

Nine resistance options cover eight distinct values: 20, 30, 40, 50, 70, 80, 90 and 100 lb. Use supported inner-and-outer-ring combinations for the higher resistance options.

Does it come with batteries?

Yes, the Handexer hand dynamometer comes with 2 AAA batteries included, so it is ready to use right out of the box.

Why are there two 50 lb rings?

The set includes two independent rings with the same 50 lb resistance rating. Each can be used on its own.

How do I switch the measurement unit between lbs and kg?

It is very simple. You can easily toggle between pounds (lbs) and kilograms (kg) by pressing the dedicated unit button on the control panel before starting your test.

Does the set include the same rings as the ring-only package?

Yes. Both packages include five rings: 20, 30, 40, 50 and 50 lb, with two independent 50 lb rings.
